Naked Cold Pressed Juice

I’ll readily admit, one thing that I miss about living in NYC is my afternoon fancy juice breaks. They were one of my few city girl indulgences. Living in the desert means I’m miles (lots of them) from the nearest juice bar, so I was excited to try the new Naked Cold Pressed Juice.

Speaking of miles from the nearest juice bar, last week I drove 40 and change miles to go to Walgreens (long story!) and grabbed a Cool Pineapple Naked Pressed on my way out the door. What I wanted was gummy bears, but luckily what I had was this juice. It totally reminded me of an agua fresca!

This was my favorite of the Naked Presseds that I tried. It has pineapple, cucumber, and lemon with a touch of filtered water. Flavor-wise, I thought it was super smart to pair cucumber juice with pineapple, since pineapple can be so sweet sometimes. It was really refreshing, had a complex flavor, and was just sweet enough. Naked Pressed have no added sugar, no preservatives and are verified by the Non GMO Project. Each Naked Cold Pressed Juice is made with ready-to-eat, high quality fruits and vegetables that are cold-pressed right into the bottle. The juices are shipped immediately to ensure only the highest-quality, best-tasting juice hits the shelf every time.

The Bold Beet Naked Pressed–made with beet, carrot, cucumber, apple, lemon, orange and ginger–is a dead ringer for my usual order at my favorite juice bar in the west village. I really liked it as well and drank it after a morning meeting went longer than expected, while I was waiting for my breakfast to cook. You know, the infamous breakfast before the breakfast 😉

Something that definitely stuck out to me was that the flavor blends were for sure on par with something I probably once paid $12 for in NYC. The Lively Carrot Naked Pressed, for example, has a hint of vanilla and turmeric, in addition to carrot, apple, orange, cucumber, and lemon. My experience with carrot juice in the past is that the flavor can really fall flat, but this one was layered and delicious.

You can find Naked Pressed in your local West Coast stores and coming soon nationwide.
