A week ago, I was sleep deprived, full of snot (thanks, ill-timed cold from hell), and suspicious of how calm I was for my first time on live TV. Beyond Canning has had an awesome first week out in the world and I wanted to share some highlights. Many of the places below are featuring recipes as well, so I wanted to point them out in case folks wanted to check them out.

I was so grateful to celebrate my official publication day on Sonoran Living Live on abc15 Phoenix. Susan Casper made my first time on TV so easy and fun. Seriously. Click here to watch me demo the recipe on the cover of the book with Susan. I’m sharing the recipe on their site as well.

Before I had even left for the studio Monday morning, I got an email from my editor telling me that Beyond Canning had been chosen as one of Amazon’s best books of the month– a total surprise and a huge honor!

A while back, I recorded an interview with KJZZ, which is my local NPR affiliate based in Phoenix. As a total NPR nerd, it felt like a pretty big accomplishment. The interview aired at the end of last week and you can listen to the segment here and peep a couple recipes from the book, including the Bergamot-Scented Meyer Lemon Marmalade.  

I’ve been loving seeing so many folks cooking from the book already. Thank you!

Happy Pub Day and for the record, you’re a natural on camera! Just watched the segment and you nailed it, funny, informative, and made me want to preserve some lemons, despite the snow!
